The book provides an overview of VW Beetle toy production from 1938 to the 1970s. All the models and boxes photographed are original and come from the author's possession. The photographs are of extraordinary brilliance and were taken by Christian Gärtner, who published the magazine Spielzeug Antik from 1995 to 2000 and founded the meanwhile worlwide renowned auction house anticomondo in Cologne in 1999. About the author:
JiJ Schroeder, born 1952, in Luxembourg. Since 1988 he has been collecting tin toys and through them he got to know the wonderful world of the VW Beetle. In the course of 26 years he built up his unique collection with a lot of passion. He always attached great importance to the perfect condition of the cars and the original boxes.

The book from the Battenberg publishing house weighs 2.3 kilos and is written bilingually (German and English).
