Schuco Examico 4001

Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1950ties, in very rare color lightgrey with red seats and red wheels, very good painting without any signs of playing, very pretty condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate "Made in U.S-Zone Germany" in lightgolden letters, one flap of the original cardboard box is missing, all parts from the model except the wind-shield are authentic to the year of production, the added manual is from newer production.

Things to know about the Schuco Examico 4001
The Schuco Examico 4001 is based on the legendary BMW 328 Roadster and is probably one of the best-known Schuco models. The Examico 4001 also serves as a driving school car and first made its way into the Schuco range before the Second World War in 1939, was initially built until 1959 and came into the Schuco range a second time in the 1980ties.

It has a simple clockwork mechanism with a fully functional 4-speed H-shift for slow to fast forward driving, a reverse gear, functional steering, a handbrake and an idle lever.
