Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in the rarest color red with red/beige interieur, almost perfect painting without any signs of playing, nearly in brand new condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany", complete with manual control unit, steering shaft and wooden pylons, battery compartment without any dirt, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, complete with the original outer box with several small traces of storage due to the age. The Schuco Sport-Elektro-Mercedes / Mercedes Benz 230SL/280SL Pagode (W113) first entered the Schuco range in 1966 and was only built for three years until 1969. The model is started by means of an ignition key on the dashboard and the model can be steered either by a remote control shaft with hand wheel or by the steering wheel. The electric motor is powered by two 1.5 volt batteries housed in a battery box in the boot, at the same time opening the bonnet provides a view of the detailed steering on the front axle. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in 1969.
