Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color lightblue, very pretty and almost like new condition with almost any signs of playing, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked with "Made in Western Germany" in beige letters, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production.

Things to know about the Schuco Varianto-Station-Car 3049
The Varianto series first entered the Schuco range in 1951 and was built up to and including 1966. At that time, the range was repeatedly expanded with new vehicle types, with the Varianto-Station-Car -under collectors also called "Varianto-Kombi"- being added in 1959. It has a clockwork mechanism with three different driving speeds for slow, medium and fast forward travel as well as a stop function, all operated by a lever on the chassis. The direction of travel can be controlled e.g. by a remote control shaft or it runs accordingly on the track of the Varianto layout. There was no reissue of the Varianto series.
