Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color white with red interieur, perfect painting without any signs of playing, in absolutely brand new condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany", complete with manual control unit, steering shaft, pylons and manual, battery compartment without any dirt, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, complete with the original outer box with several small traces of storage due to the age. The Schuco Real-Elektro-Mercedes 5500 / Mercedes Benz 230SL/280SL Pagode (W113) first entered the Schuco range in 1965 and was built until 1972. The model is started by an ignition key on the dashboard and the model can be steered either by a remote control shaft with hand wheel or by the steering wheel. The electric motor is powered by four 1.5 volt batteries which are housed in a battery box in the engine compartment. As a special feature, the model has a fully synchronised 4-speed gearbox with four shiftable forward gears, one reverse gear and neutral, which is operated via the gear lever and can be viewed with the boot open. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in 1972.
