Schuco Tacho-Examico 4002

Model Description
Manufactured in the 1950ties, in color turquise with red seats and red wheels, very good painting without any signs of playing, overall in very pretty condition, the red paint on the left front rim has peeled off a bit, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate "Made in U.S-Zone Germany" in beige letters, one flap of the original cardboard box is missing, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production.

Things to know about the Schuco Tacho-Examico 4002
The Schuco Tacho-Examico 4002 first entered the Schuco range in 1951 and was only built over a very short period of five years until around 1956. It has a simple clockwork mechanism with a fully functional gear shift operated by a gear lever on the steering wheel. The gear shift has three forward gears for different speeds, an idle gear and a reverse gear. In addition, the Tacho-Examico 4002 has classic steering wheel controls and a handbrake lever. On the right side of the dashboard is a speedometer whose pointer automatically indicates the gear engaged as well as the attainable driving speed. It was not reintroduced into the Schuco range.
