Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1950ties, in color black with orange felt, perfect and like brand new condition without any signs of playing, no spots or holes in the felt, no fur loss, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked with "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany" on the base plate, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with original cardboard box in age-related condition.

Things to know about the Schuco Scotch-Terrier 742
The Scotch-Terrier Tippy 990 first entered the Schuco range in 1954 and was built until the 1960s. It has a clockwork motor that makes the animal "run around" in a circle. In doing so, the dog alternately puts one leg in front of the other and makes funny tapping movements that are unparalleled in naturalness. In contrast to the Scotch Terrier 742, the Tippy 990 has a ball made of celluloid that is attached to its muzzle by a wire. Tippy runs after the ball and tries to catch it, while his paws keep pushing the ball forward and to the side. The numbers or dice dots on the ball can also help Tippy fill in tote sheets or play dice games. With his lively paws, Tippy sets the number ball in motion, while it rotates under the number cap and an arrow indicates the respective lucky number. There was no reissue of this model.
