Schuco Examico 4001

Model Description
Manufactured pre-war ca. in the 1930ties, in color red with unpainted wheels and brown seats, very good painting with almost no signs of playing, overall in very pretty condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate "Made in Germany" in lightgolden letters, the rear number plate has the engraving "C.S.R. 882" instead of the usual Schuco lettering, all parts from the model except the wind-shield and the manual are authentic to the year of production.

Things to know about the Schuco Examico 4001
The Schuco Examico 4001 is based on the legendary BMW 328 Roadster and is probably one of the best-known Schuco models. The Examico 4001 also serves as a driving school car and first made its way into the Schuco range before the Second World War in 1939, was initially built until 1959 and came into the Schuco range a second time in the 1980ties.

It has a simple clockwork mechanism with a fully functional 4-speed H-shift for slow to fast forward driving, a reverse gear, functional steering, a handbrake and an idle lever.
