Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color darkred/beige with beige/brown interieur, very good condition with almost no signs of playing, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany", battery compartment with rust approach, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with original manual and outer box with some age-related storage marks. Extremely rare to find in this condition and completeness.

Things to know about the Schuco Electro-Record 5555 Boat
The Schuco Elektro-Record 5555 boat first entered the Schuco range in 1960 and was only built for six years up to and including 1966. It has a battery-powered electric motor that drives a removable outboard motor. The two 1.5 volt batteries are inserted by removing the front cover and the steering is done by turning the outboard motor. Turning the motor on and off is done by turning the steering wheel and removing the rear cover gives a clear view of the electric motor. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in the 1960s.
