Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color darkgreen with white hardtop and red/white interieur, very good painting with only some very small signs of playing, overall in very good and pretty condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany" in blue letters, later and simpler version built only from 1966 to 1969 with breaker for a flashing blue signal light without light swirler and without moving arm of the co-driver, battery compartment without any dirt.

The Schuco Elekro-Razzia-Car 5509 first entered the Schuco range in 1958 and was built until 1969. It has an electric drive on the rear wheel and an electric flashing light on the roof, both of which can be switched on with a switch. The drive for driving is provided by an electric motor, which is powered by two 1.5 volt batteries and is also operated by a switch. In the early version, the model has a light whirler and a movable arm of the co-driver that raises and lowers the handset of the radio. Both are driven by a clockwork motor that is wound up via the underside of the model. The battery compartment under the bonnet is opened by turning the searchlight. A later version of the model, built from 1966 until it was discontinued in 1969, omits the clockwork mechanism. The Schuco Elektro-Razzia-Car 5509 is available in different colours as a police car and a fire engine.
