Manufactured ca. in the 1950ties, in color beige beige with red-brown deck and light blue upper deck, very good and pretty condition with almost any signs of playing, all functions are tested and working perfect, earlier version with compass and rotating radar screen, marked on the rudder with "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany", battery compartment without any dirt, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production. Extremely rare to find in this condition and completeness.

Things to know about the Schuco Electro-Nautico 5550 Boat
The imposing 41cm long Schuco Elektro-Nautico 5550 Boat first entered the Schuco range in 1958 and was built until the late 1960s. It features a real compass on the bow of the boat as well as a battery-powered electric motor that can be operated with a switch lever on the upper deck of the boat. The battery compartment is accessed by removing the top deck and the motor is powered by three 1.5 volt batteries. During the voyage, the radar screen permanently rotates 360° in a circle. From 1967 onwards, the model continued to be produced for a short period under the number 5551, but this later version omitted the compass and the rotating radar screen. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in the 1960s.
