Model Description

Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in the rarest of all colors red with red interieur, almost perfect painting with only some very small signs of playing, overall in very pretty condition, later version with chrom panel above the door frame, matt black tarpaulin and unvisible gear wheel on the underside, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany" in blue letters, complete with wooden pylons, hand steering unit and steering shaft, battery compartment without any dirt, only a small spot in the battery compartment cover, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, complete with the original outer box with several traces of storage due to the age and a transparent pasted over back as well as an additional multi-page advertising brochure "Patentschau" by Schuco. Extremely rare to find in this color, condition and completeness

Things to know about the Schuco Electro-Synchromatik 5700 Packard Hawk Cabriolet
The Schuco Electro-Synchromatik 5700 Packard Hawk Convertible first entered the Schuco range in 1958 and was built until 1969. It has an electric motor and a gearstick for various fully automatic gearshifts for start and stop, forward and reverse. It is powered by two 1.5 volt batteries housed in a battery box on the underside of the model In automatic mode, the car shifts from neutral to first and then to second gear. The car then stops again and reverses, with a red light bulb on the dashboard lighting up with each shift. The push-button gearstick can also be operated manually from the dashboard, with the automatic drive switch located above the rear bumper. The model can be steered via the steering wheel as well as via the manual control unit and has not been reissued since it was discontinued in 1969.
