Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color red/beige, very good and close to brand new condition without any signs of playing, only a few usual, minor discolourations in the area of the hull, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate with "Made in Western Germany", battery compartment without any deposits, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with original manual and outer box which is also in very good condition. Extremely rare to find in this condition and completeness.

Things to know about the Schuco Electro-Amphibio 5560 Floating Car
The Schuco Elektro-Amphibio 5560 Floating Car, which drives as a car on land and as a boat in the water, first entered the Schuco range in 1963 and was built up to and including 1974. It has a battery-powered electric motor that drives the model's rear wheels and a switch on the rear window that can be used to switch the propeller in the stern on and off for swimming. The two 1.5 volt batteries are inserted by removing the roof, which can be removed from the model by turning the middle position light. Steering on land is done by adjusting the steerable front axle and steering in the water by adjusting the propeller and the desired direction of travel. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in the 1970s.
