Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1970ties, in color red with white deck and blue upper deck, very good and pretty condition with almost any signs of playing, slight age-related discolouration in the plastic, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the rudder with "Made in Western Germany", battery compartment without any dirt, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production. Extremely rare to find in this condition and completeness.

The impressive 55cm long Schuco Lake Constance car ferry boat "Fontainebleau" first entered the Schuco range in 1971 and was built for just five years up to and including 1976. It has two battery-powered electric motors and a 2-screw drive, which are operated with a command control. The long cable gives the ferry a radius of action of eight metres and the individual control of the motors allows real driving and turning manoeuvres to be simulated, both forwards and backwards. The original was launched in July 1970, was used as a car ferry on the Constance-Meersburg ferry route and was decommissioned in September 2023. The model has not been reissued since it was discontinued in the 1960s.
