Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in colors red and blue, perfect and brand new condition without any signs of playing, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked with "Made in Western Germany", all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with ten plastic track plates with lateral marking "Copyright 1962 Schuco Toy Co. Inc., Made in U.S.A.", paper sheet for start and finish banner, cover letter and leaflet. Extremely rare to find in this condition, completeness and finish.

Things to know about the Schuco Microracer Models and the Micro-Racer Game 1000 Race-Track
The Microracer series first entered the Schuco range in 1954 and was built until the late 1980s. All models are made of heavy zinc die-cast and have a screwed base plate that is also made of zinc die-cast. The range was continually expanded with new vehicle types at the time, with all models featuring a clockwork mechanism for forward travel, a working handbrake lever and a rear adjusting screw for setting the steering.

The Micro-Racer Game 1000 Race-Track was produced exclusively for the US market from 1962 and was only sold there for a short time. In addition to the two Midget Racers 1041 and 1042, it contains a total of ten plastic plates that have to be put together and then serve as a race track. There is also a pre-cut sheet of paper that can be used to make banners for the start/finish area and other accessories. The set is one of the rarest models in the Micro-Racer series.
