Model Description
Manufactured ca. in the 1950ties, with cream-coloured hull and brown/beige/red upper deck, perfect lithography without any signs of playing, overall in very pretty and brand new condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the tail rudder with "Made in Western Germany", all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production. One of the rarest Schuco models ever and extremely rare to find in this condition.

Things to know about the Schuco Racing Boat 3005 Seebiene
The Schuco Racing Boat 3005 with the name "Seebiene" (= Lake Bee) first entered the Schuco range in 1959 and was only built for a total of three (!) years up to and including 1962 due to its extremely limited success at the time. In contrast to other Schuco models, most of which had many technical refinements, the Seebiene 3005 only had a relatively simple flywheel mechanism, which was operated by an automatic spring mechanism or a wire cable at the rear of the boat. The direction of travel can be adjusted via the movable rudder. Due to the very short construction time and the only moderate success on the shelves of toy shops at the time, the 3005 Seebiene racing boat is one of the rarest and most sought-after Schuco models of all.
