Schuco Combinato 4003

Model Description
Manufactured in the 1950ties, in color red with light green seats and extremly rare base plate in beige color, very good painting with almost any signs of playing, overall in very pretty condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, marked on the base plate "Made in U.S-Zone Germany" in blue letters, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production.

Things to know about the Schuco Combinato 4003
The Schuco Patent-Combinato 4003 first entered the Schuco range in 1953 and was built until around 1966. It has a simple clockwork mechanism with a fully functional gear shift operated by a gear lever on the steering wheel. The gear shift has three forward gears for different speeds, an idle gear and a reverse gear. In addition, the Tacho-Examico 4002 has classic steering wheel controls and a handbrake lever. On the right side of the dashboard is a speedometer whose pointer automatically indicates the gear engaged as well as the attainable driving speed. As a special feature, the model has a second movement for a horn, which is wound on the underside and is operated via a horn button in the steering wheel. The model was not reintroduced into the Schuco range.
